Robert's Story
Robert's story of meat processing goes further back than 2010 when he opened R&L. His father owned and operated the grocery store and locker plant in the small town of Polk, NE. Specializing in the meat department, Robert learned the trade by getting hands on training from his dad, Homer MacDonald. Once Robert got out of the Army, he rejoined his dad and championed the art of sausage making at the Wahoo Locker. After the death of Homer, the locker was sold and Robert started working as the Smokehouse Manager at Super Saver and then moved on to being a Superintendent at Tyson Foods. Robert then decided to take his own experience and work ethic and start up R&L Meats in 2010.
